Stephanie’s childhood home was the perfect location for hers and Michaels Indiana wooded wedding.
Their day began with one of the most memorable first looks I’ve ever had the honor of documenting. With tears in his eyes and a tremble in his hands, Michael read Stephanie’s vows that she had written to him. He finished, placed the letter in his jacket pocket close to his heart, took a deep breath and turned to Stephanie. Words left them both and tears filled their eyes. They stood in aw of each other and of the moment, taking it in so deep and coming to realize the reality that was.
After a tearful and joyful wagon ride through the woods to their ceremony location, they wed in a clearing, with only their parents, siblings, and closest family members.
The reception followed, but began with a hiccup of power outage and the tent collapsing on one side due to high speed winds that day. With a little help from friends and family, the tent survived and the power returned. All was well, and Stephanie and Michael soaked in every moment remaining of their special day.

Thank You so much! The venue was actually Stephanie’s childhood home. We shot their first look and bride and groom portraits on the family property. The ceremony took place in the woods of the property, and reception was the family’s backyard patio.
