Baby Blayne is here! … and he’s perfect. Putting this whole experience into words leaves me in tears.
In the last 9 days I have learned to step away from my plans and preparations and completely trust the Lords timing. And wow, has it been one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do in this capacity. Going in for the routine checkup, only to learn that delivery needed to be within hours, was not at all what I anticipated for that day. But I had so many God sent hands pushing me along every step of the way. I simply could not have done it without those helping hands. My husband, the hardest rock I’ve ever known on this earth, and best coach and strong loving spirit in my most intense moments. My doctors, Dr. Lewis and Dr. Baldwin, nurses Amber and Olivia, our doulas Kate and Rebecca, going above and beyond in more ways than I’ll ever know. My mom, being the ultimate empathizer and warming heart. Family and friends who sent countless emails, texts, or called to simply be an encouragement…
And the end result is this handsome, healthy and strong little man that we’re privileged to love for the rest of our lives.
God. Is. Good.
